PennDOT projects to restrict traffic on Rt. 33, other Northampton Co. roads ahead of holiday

PennDOT maintenance crews will conduct road work across multiple municipalities in Northampton County from Monday, Nov. 24 through Wednesday Nov. 26, with daytime lane restrictions affecting several major routes.

The maintenance projects will take place between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. and include crack sealing, pothole patching and reflector installation. Rain may cause delays to the scheduled work.

Among the affected routes, Route 33 South in Plainfield Township will have lane restrictions on Nov. 24 and a southbound lane restriction on Nov. 25 for crack sealing work between the Monroe County line and Route 512. The route will also see reflector installation work in Palmer and Plainfield townships, with a southbound lane restriction on Nov. 24 between Nazareth Road and Lehigh Drive…
