Felon who robbed one driver, tried to rob another in N.J. town is arrested, cops say

A 35-year-old convicted felon has been arrested after a string of robberies. Police said the man robbed one driver in South Brunswick and tried to rob another on Tuesday before committing three armed robberies in Mercer County.

Bilal J. Bellamy, of Newark, was taken into custody outside a home in Phillipsburg where he had been staying, South Brunswick police said Thursday.

Police recovered the firearm, a wig, mask, and a reflective vest Bellamy was wearing at the time of the crimes after executing a search warrant, officials said…
