Clinton Township files suit to oust law firm defending police officer

CLINTON TOWNSHIP – The township has gone to court to disqualify a law firm from representing Detective Jennifer Pawlick in termination proceedings because one of the firm’s partners formerly represented another officer involved in the charges brought against her.

The lawsuit, filed Dec. 10 in Hunterdon County Superior Court, is the latest chapter in the legal action between the township and Pawlick.

Pawlick, who has served more than 15 years in the police department, was named “Crime Stopper of the Year” in 2023 by Hunterdon County Crime Stoppers for her role in two high-profile investigations…
