Driver sentenced for hitting, killing motorcyclist while evading police stop in Warren Co., officials say

HOPE TWP., N.J. – An SUV driver was sentenced to multiple years in prison on Friday for evading a police stop and hitting and killing a motorcyclist in 2024, according to the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.

Officials say that on Friday, Sean Mamakas of Kempton, Pennsylvania, was sentenced in Warren County Superior Court on an Indictment charging Aggravated Manslaughter; causing the death of the victim while fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, specifically by ignoring signals from law enforcement to stop his vehicle and subsequently striking the victim’s motorcycle and ejecting the victim, a crime of the first degree.

Mamakas pleaded guilty to this charge, and was sentenced to 18 years in New Jersey State Prison, according to the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office…
