DUI enforcement effort nets several arrests on Northampton County’s 3 major highways

Pennsylvania State Police made three arrests for driving under the influence during a roving patrol over the weekend in Northampton County.

Troopers conducted the patrol from 10 p.m. Friday through 3 a.m. Saturday, covering Interstate 78, Route 33 Route 22 in the county. In addition to the three DUI arrests, troopers issued 28 traffic citations and 29 traffic warnings.

The Pennsylvania State Police Troop M-Belfast had previously announced there would be a sobriety checkpoint somewhere in the county during those times, but said on Monday that it conducted the roving patrol instead due to weather conditions…
