Fire at Pa. apartment forces 400 residents to evacuate, officials say

Hundreds of residents were forced to evacuate from their homes while crews battled a fire at an apartment complex in Lehigh County over the weekend, according to the Whitehall Township Fire Department.

The fire broke out just before 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13 with firefighters being called to the Fairmount Place Apartments at 1 Maryland Circle in Whitehall Township, officials said.
