Officers were called to 1302 Hanover Avenue at about 1:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 19, for a reported shooting, according to Allentown police. When officers arrived, they found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police rendered first aid before the victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment, authorities said. One of the victims later died from his injuries.
The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as David J. Gibbs, 34, of Allentown. He was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Muhlenberg at 2:40 a.m. after suffering gunshot injuries. The manner of death was ruled a homicide, Coroner Daniel A. Buglio announced Friday…
