Julio Rodriguez Charged In Allentown Arson Fire

Julio Rodriguez, 51, of Allentown, was charged after a fire erupted at a home on the 700 block of South 10th Street, according to a release from the Allentown Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to the home at approximately 1:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, for reports of a structure fire with a person inside who was experiencing a mental health crisis and was possibly armed, police said.

Court documents state Rodriguez’s girlfriend contacted county dispatch earlier that day, reporting that Rodriguez had been drinking all night, kicked her out of the home, and was threatening to burn it down.
