NORRISTOWN — A Pottstown man was sent to prison for aiding and conspiring with a woman who shot a teenage girl during an altercation with others in the Bright Hope community in the borough.
Harold Cancel Jr., 20, of the 100 block of Gable Avenue, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 2½ to 8 years in a state correctional facility after he pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to facilitate aggravated assault, simple assault and possession of an instrument of crime in connection with the July 2, 2024, incident.
Judge Steven T. O’Neill, who accepted a plea agreement in the matter, also ordered Cancel to complete two years of probation consecutive to his parole, meaning Cancel will be under court supervision for 10 years…
