FRANKLIN TWP, CARBON CO. (WOLF) — A 32-year-old man who was killed early New Year’s Day after being struck by a vehicle on the Pennsylvania Turnpike’s Northeast Extension in Carbon County has been identified.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, Troopers were dispatched just after 3:25 a.m. Thursday to Interstate 476 northbound at mile marker 76.2 in Franklin Township for a reported pedestrian crash.
Investigators say multiple vehicles were stopped on the shoulder at the time of the crash. A car had become disabled due to a flat tire, and a tow truck had arrived to assist. A third vehicle was parked behind them as a witness vehicle…
