An employee of a Slate Belt retailer is accused of stealing more than $17,000 and wiring the cash overseas.
Pardeep Kumar, 43, of Easton is charged with felony theft. He was arraigned on Dec. 23 before District Judge Susan Hutnik, who set bail at $5,000. In lieu of bail, Kumar was taken to Northampton County Prison, where he remained Monday.
