A police incident involving a suspicious device shut down a busy stretch of Route 309 in Upper Saucon Township, prompting a bomb squad response and hours-long road closures, authorities said.
Police, fire crews, and the Allentown Bomb Squad were dispatched to the Wawa at 6680 Route 309 after a 911 call was made shortly before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, according to county dispatchers.
