HUNTERDON COUNTY, N.J. — Police departments in Raritan Township and Readington Township are warning motorists to remain alert after receiving reports of an individual allegedly impersonating a police officer and attempting to pull vehicles over using an unmarked car.
Raritan Township police said the department received reports Thursday of a person attempting to stop motorists while posing as a law enforcement officer. Authorities said the incidents are under active investigation and emphasized that impersonating a police officer is a serious crime that threatens public safety and undermines trust.
