A routine medication delivery turned into a frightening ordeal in Bensalem Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, leaving residents shaken and sparking a wave of emotional reactions online from people who say the crime hit far too close to home.
Just after 9 a.m., per 6ABC Action News, a pharmacy delivery driver arrived outside Smart Choice Pharmacy on Street Road, expecting nothing more than another standard drop-off. Inside the delivery were high-demand weight-loss and diabetes medications, including Ozempic, Mounjaro, and Trulicity, worth an estimated $16,000.
Instead of unloading and moving on to the next stop, the driver was suddenly ambushed by three suspects who had reportedly been waiting in the parking lot for nearly two hours. The men knocked the driver to the ground and fled with the medication, shocking nearby witnesses in what many described as a brazen daylight robbery.
