At 5:31 p.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service released a special weather statement until 7 p.m. for Western Chester, Eastern Chester, Western Montgomery, Eastern Montgomery, Upper Bucks and Lower Bucks as well as Berks, Lehigh, Northampton, Delaware and Philadelphia counties.
“Bands of moderate to locally heavy snow will continue to pass through the Lehigh Valley, northern New Jersey, and portions of southeast Pennsylvania down to the I-95 corridor into Philadelphia. Snowfall rates will be as high as 1 inch per hour, and visibilities will be down to under one mile,” explains the weather service.
