Allentown house fire leaves 2 people homeless, dog dead

Two people are homeless and a dog perished in a blaze that raged on past midnight in Allentown.

City Fire Department Captain of Public Affairs Jonathan Hammel said the fire started around 10 p.m. Thursday at the home in the 900 block of West Gordon Street.

Crews found flames billowing from the second-floor front windows and made an “aggressive interior attack” on the fire while other members searched for a reported missing occupant, Hammel said…
