Scammers are calling people and claiming to be with the Northampton County Sheriffs Department, telling victims they have warrants for their arrest for failing to report for jury duty, according to a release from PSP Troop M – Bethlehem.
The callers then demand payment in Bitcoin to “void” the warrants, police said.
