Moore Township Supervisors review development issues, recreation updates and zoning matters

The Moore Township Board of Supervisors met Tuesday, Feb. 3 to conduct their regular monthly meeting, addressing public safety, personnel matters, recreation updates and several long-standing legal and planning issues.

During reports, Police Chief Gary West provided the January police report, which included 293 total incidents. Officers issued 12 written/verbal warnings and 34 traffic citations. Police also made one arrest for fraud and responded to five reportable accidents and four non-reportable accidents during the month.

Fire Recorder Jason L. Harhart, reported that for the month of January the Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company responded to 98 ambulance calls and 71 fire calls. January’s fire calls included six fires, seven motor vehicle accidents, three Fire Police calls, one automatic fire alarm, 30 ambulance assists, one downed wire, one downed tree, 11 controlled burn calls, three rescues and one smoke/odor investigation. The fire company also provided mutual aid to neighboring municipalities, including two calls with Bath for one fire and one carbon monoxide alarm, three calls with Lehigh Township for fires and three mutual aid calls with Bushkill Township for one fire alarm, one fire and one motor vehicle accident…
