A Montgomery County developer wants to turn 14 tracts of land on the east and west sides of Route 743 near Route 283 in Lancaster County into a development containing warehouses, retail, and housing.
Catalyst Commercial Development is proposing the Elizabethtown Crossings project, which is generally between Old Hershey Road and Mount Gretna Road and south of the Route 283 interchange. Twelve of the tracts are located in Mount Joy Township. The other two tracts are located in Elizabethtown.
The development would include:
- a 200,200-square-foot warehouse with 37 trailer parking spaces and 134 passenger parking spaces
- a 22,500-square-foot outdoor storage area
- a four-story-hotel with 80 rooms and 80 parking spaces
- a park and ride area accessible to the public
- a 13,391-square-foot retail building with 67 parking spaces
- a 3,891-square-foot restaurant with 38 parking spaces
- a 6,270-square-foot convenience store with 47 parking spaces
- a 4,805-square-foot car wash building with 13 parking spaces
- a 7,202-square-foot retail building with 46 parking spaces
- four three-story apartment buildings with 24 units each;
- one three-story apartment building with 36 units
- 198 parking spaces for the apartments
- a 200,200-square-foot warehouse with 137 parking spaces and 25 trailer spaces
