PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. (Warren County) — Phillipsburg police are seeking the public’s help in locating a man charged in connection with an alleged $70,000 loan fraud.
Police said Alaa A. Alyazji, 63, is wanted on charges of theft by deception and falsifying or tampering with records following an investigation into a reported fraud involving a local financial institution.
According to authorities, the investigation determined that Alyazji allegedly submitted false documentation — including a fraudulent bill of sale and pay stubs — to obtain a loan of approximately $70,000.
