Hatboro teen accused of setting up robbery wants her case moved to juvenile court

NORRISTOWN — A Hatboro teenager accused of setting up the robbery and assault of a male by luring him to a Horsham Township park where he was attacked at gunpoint by two other males wants a judge to transfer her case to juvenile court.

Kassidi Marie James, who was 17 at the time of the alleged July 2025 robbery and assault, is awaiting a hearing in Montgomery County Court on her petition to decertify her case to the county’s juvenile court, where potential punishments are less harsh, and the focus is more on rehabilitation and treatment.

In court documents, defense lawyer Pierre Latour III argued James, who is now 18, is “amenable to treatment” and rehabilitation offered by the juvenile court system…
