PALMER TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The cause and estimated repair time for a sinkhole that opened in Northampton County on Thursday have now been released by PennDOT officials.
The PennDOT Northampton County Maintenance office had a site meeting Friday with Easton Suburban Water Authority (ESWA). It appears a water line caused the sinkhole, according to officials.
After input from both party’s geotechnical representatives, ESWA will be adding flowable fill to the void to re-establish support for the road, officials said…
