Two hikers called 911 after spotting what they believed were human remains near 71 Chapel Hill Road in Ridley Creek State Park in Upper Providence Township around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 6, according to state police.
Upper Providence Township Police responded to the scene and requested the Delaware County Medical Examiner’s Office to assist. The office recovered the remains and initially determined they were human, authorities said.
