PA Bank Robber Caught Heading Home To NJ By License Plate Reader Camera: Northampton DA

A man accused of robbing two Pennsylvania banks was tracked heading back to New Jersey using license plate reader cameras, leading investigators to identify and arrest him, authorities said.

Jonathan Michael Berrios, 33, of Stroudsburg, is charged in connection with a robbery at First Northern Bank in Plainfield Township and another robbery in Monroe County, according to Northampton County District Attorney Stephen G. Baratta.

Slate Belt Regional Police responded to the bank at 6663 Sullivan Trail around 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7 for a reported robbery, authorities said…
