Man who jumped into Lehigh River to avoid arrest identified

Authorities have identified the man who died after jumping into the Lehigh River to avoid arrest.

The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office has identified the deceased as 46-year-old Toddrick L. Bynoe of Northampton. Bynoe was pronounced dead at 4:20 p.m. Saturday and his body was found near the 200 block of North Second Street in Coplay, the coroner’s office said.

Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio previously said the man was recovered from the Lehigh River in an area around nine feet deep. An autopsy to determine Bynoe’s exact cause and manner of death is scheduled for Tuesday…
