Police investigate $50,000 jewelry theft from Carbon County home

TOWAMENSING TWP., CARBON CO. (WOLF) — Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a reported theft at a home in Carbon County where tens of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry was stolen.

According to police, the incident happened on March 18 around 10:20 p.m. at a residence on Laurel View Drive in Towamensing Township.

Investigators say a 59-year-old woman from Lehighton reported that jewelry had been taken from the home. Authorities estimate the total value of the stolen items at about $50,000, including four rings valued at approximately $15,000…
