A woman is in critical condition and 19 people displaced after a fire tore through a Whitehall apartment building Thursday afternoon, a fire official said.
Township Fire Chief Mark Bilder told lehighvalleylive.com flames ignited around 2:30 p.m. at Olympic Garden Apartments, 1519 Athens Drive. The fire originated in the bathroom of apartment No. 8, Bilder said.
A dozen apartments make up the building. Everyone evacuated safely on their own with the exception of the woman in apartment where the fire began. She needed to be rescued by police, Bilder said…
