I was spiraling.

It was sunny but windy one Saturday earlier this month as I headed out for a walk with our dog Jerry, so I chose a paved path with fewer limbs overhead that might break off in a gust: Easton’s Karl Stirner Arts Trail.

But what should have been a relaxing breath of fresh air instead was riddled with anxiety, and what set me off were the allegations that an Easton man this winter had deliberately deposited beef sticks containing fish hooks around the city’s Downtown…
