Middle School Teacher Charged Over Alleged Sexual Relationship With Student

A former middle school teacher in Gloucester County, New Jersey, has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a student, authorities announced Thursday (March 26).

Ashley A. Fisler, 36, of Washington Township, faces eight charges, including six counts of first-degree sexual assault of a minor, one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and one count of second-degree official misconduct, stemming from an alleged sexual relationship with a student in 2021.

According to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office, Fisler was a teacher at Orchard Valley Middle School in Sewell, New Jersey, when the alleged abuse occurred. Court documents say the victim described multiple sexual encounters in 2021, taking place both in Fisler’s car and inside her classroom.
