Lehigh Valley weather: Temperatures near 80 Tuesday, storms Wednesday

The Lehigh Valley will experience unseasonably warm temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday before a cold front arrives Wednesday night with showers and thunderstorms.

High temperatures Tuesday are forecast around 80 degrees at the National Weather Service’s Lehigh Valley International Airport climate station. The Lehigh Valley’s record high for March 31 is 86 degrees, set in 1998. Another warm day is forecast Wednesday, but with highs not expected to challenge the April 1 record of 84 from 1978.
