Carbon County woman facing charges after stabbing man with scissors

CARBON COUNTY, Pa. — A woman is facing charges after being accused of stabbing a man with scissors in Carbon County.

According to state police, they responded to a home on Chestnut Lane in Penn Forest Township on March 22, just before 3 p.m., to reports of a disturbance.

Police say Rhonda Hatton, 66, of Jim Thorpe, assaulted her niece and her niece’s boyfriend after an argument. Hatton struck her niece in the face, causing a bruise. She then punched, scratched, spit at her niece’s boyfriend’s face, threatened him with a baseball bat, and stabbed him with scissors…
