Probe continues into emergency plane landing on I-78 Saturday

Federal Aviation Administration and state police continue to investigate how a plane landed on I-78 in Lehigh County.

Trooper Nathan Branosky, public information officer with Pennsylvania State Police’s Troop M, said the incident happened just after 9:15 a.m. in the eastbound lanes at mile marker 45.6 in Weisenberg Township.

The pilot was a 65-year-old man from Michigan who departed Solberg Airport in Readington, Hunterdon County, in a 1995 Commander 114B plane and was headed to Indiana. The pilot was unable to reach another nearby airport before landing, state police in Fogelsville said…
