A death investigation is underway for a Bucks County Corrections inmate who died at a hospital where she was receiving treatment last month.
Bucks County officials confirmed the March 21 death of Ashley Gushue, 37, of Bristol Township, at the Penn Medicine Doylestown Health hospital. They announced the death in a two-sentence press release March 23 that did not identify Gushue. Her death is the first involving a county inmate since 2024.
