Five teens arrested after armed robbery and assault in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Allentown police have arrested five people, including four juveniles, after a robbery and assault that unfolded Tuesday afternoon on the city’s west side.

According to a press release from the police, officers were called to the area of 15th and Turner streets around 2:05 p.m. after reports of a gunshot. When they arrived, police found a robbery victim who told officers the incident began near Fulton and Turner streets.

According to the victim, an SUV pulled up to them, and someone inside challenged him to a fight. Another person in the vehicle allegedly pointed a handgun at the victim and fired a shot into the air. Police say four additional individuals then got out of the SUV, chased the victim, assaulted him, and forcibly stole his sneakers before fleeing…
