Allentown Police Clock Driver at 49 MPH in 25 Zone During Targeted Enforcement on N. 15th Street

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A driver traveling nearly twice the speed limit—49 mph in a 25 mph residential zone—highlighted a targeted enforcement effort that resulted in 21 traffic stops on North 15th Street, according to the Allentown Police Department.

The enforcement detail took place in the 1100 block of North 15th Street, where officers from the department’s Traffic Unit and 1st Platoon focused on speeding concerns raised by the community.

Enforcement Targets Residential Safety Concerns

Police said the initiative aimed to address ongoing complaints about speeding in a densely populated area where pedestrians and local traffic are especially vulnerable.
