Easton teen sentenced after pleading guilty in 2025 shooting that injured 6

EASTON, Pa. – A teenager wanted in connection with a 2025 shooting that injured six people has pleaded guilty to multiple charges.

According to a news release from the Northampton County District Attorney’s Office, 16‑year‑old Yandiel Onil Gonzalez pleaded guilty on May 6 to five counts of aggravated assault and one count of discharging a firearm into an occupied structure. He was immediately sentenced to a negotiated term of 80–160 months in state prison. The plea offer was made after consultation with the victims.

The charges stem from a shooting on July 12, 2025 at a home on East Wilkes‑Barre Street in South Easton, where police responded to reports of a woman shot during an 18th‑birthday party. Officers found multiple shell casings, bullet strikes, and evidence of gunfire throughout the property when they arrived. Police were told later that several injured partygoers had already been taken to local hospitals.

An affidavit obtained by 69 News states that Gonzalez and 20‑year‑old Dante Holmes‑Eutsey arrived at the party but were not allowed inside. Investigators say both suspects were known to attendees and were uninvited. Tips to police suggested the shooting may have been retaliation for Gonzalez being assaulted weeks earlier, and one source reported that Holmes‑Eutsey had threatened to “shoot the party up.”…
