A Plainfield Township resident killed his mother then stabbed himself to death, according to the Slate Belt Regional Police Department chief.
Nathan Heffelfinger, 47, killed his mother, Diane Wert, 71, and died by suicide at their home in the 700 block of Engler Road, Chief Jonathon Hoadley said Monday.
