Residents across Walton County, Gwinnett County and much of north and central Georgia should prepare for the possibility of flooding as the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch beginning Thursday morning and continuing through late Friday night.
Forecasters warn that multiple rounds of heavy rainfall are expected from Thursday through Friday evening as a tropical air mass moves across Georgia. Widespread rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches are anticipated, with some locations potentially receiving 5 inches or more.
