ROSWELL, Ga. — A family’s hiking trip on the National Park Service side of Vickery Creek ended in a water rescue June 4 after a child became stranded on a steep embankment.
Emergency dispatch received a call before 12:30 p.m. reporting a 6-year-old girl had fallen into the water and could no longer be seen. Another adult had gone to help locate her.
When units arrived, the caller was able to point out the two on the opposite side of the stream…
