Amontre Deshawn Edwards, 24, of Chicago, Illinois, is accused of causing a disturbance at Six Flags Over Georgia on June 14 at 7:35 p.m., according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.
Edwards came onto the ride operator’s platform on the Goliath ride and accused ride operators of taking his phone, which was left in a cubby while he was on the ride. Edwards started throwing things from behind the operator’s platform, where guests are not allowed to be. The victim and other employees attempted to stop Edwards from causing any more damage and diffuse the situation, at which point Edwards threw an elbow at the victim’s head. The victim was able to dodge the elbow, but Edwards grabbed him by the neck and shoved him against a wall until other employees restrained him. During this same scuffle with employees, a girl was shoved backwards by Edwards causing her to strike her ribs on the railing at the edge of the ride platform, according to the warrant.
Edwards is charged with simple battery harm. He was arrested on June 14 at 9 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
