Johns Creek High School put on alert about tuberculosis exposure

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A school in Johns Creek is on alert after receiving a letter from the Fulton County Board of Health about a tuberculosis diagnosis.

Fulton County Schools told Atlanta News First that the letter was sent to Johns Creek High School students and staff at the health board’s request. The letter notifies the community that they may have been exposed to tuberculosis and goes over the testing process.

Those identified to have had close contact with the person diagnosed with tuberculosis will receive a second letter with more information about screenings, the board said. Students are being provided two free testing and result days in June and July at the North Fulton Regional Health Center facility in Alpharetta…
