Man accused of ramming Cobb police car, bringing marijuana to arranged sale

Chuntavious Shanard Terrell, 26, of Atlanta, is accused of putting his vehicle in drive, accelerating and striking a police car in an attempt to flee from a box-in traffic stop on June 24 at 6:45 p.m. at City View Sports Bar & Bistro, 7365 Cityview Drive in Austell, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.

Terrell is also accused of soliciting the sale of marijuana on Instagram. When police contacted him about purchasing marijuana, Terrell said the price was $120 per ounce. He later arrived at the arranged meeting location in possession of 114 grams of marijuana packaged in 9 separate bags and admitted to police that he came there to conduct a drug deal. Terrell also had an American Tactical AR-15 pistol on the rear floorboard of the vehicle within arm’s reach, according to the warrant.

Terrell is charged with driving – fleeing or attempting to elude – misdemeanor; intent to distribute marijuana – felony; and possession of firearm during the commission of a felony – controlled substance. He was arrested on June 24 at 8 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
