Trivon Leon Saunders, 43, of Marietta, is accused of trafficking drugs on Aug. 12 at 3 p.m. at the intersection Natchez Trace and Powder Springs Street in Marietta, according to an arrest warrant from the Kennesaw Police Department.
Saunders was driving a gray 2017 Jaguar F-Pace and failed to stop at a stop sign posted on Natchez Trace, proceeding to turn left onto Powder Springs Street. The license plate of the vehicle was covered by a smoke-colored plastic license plate cover that prevented officers from clearly observing the vehicle’s license plate number. A probable cause traffic stop was conducted by uniformed Marietta-Cobb-Smyrna narcotics agents. A Cobb Police Department K-9 officer responded to the scene and the K-9 unit alerted positive for the odor of narcotics emitting from the vehicle in a free air sniff of the car, according to the warrant.
A search was conducted and yielded 134 grams of marijuana with packaging, 29.5 grams of cocaine with packaging, 47.3 grams of crack cocaine with packaging and 114.5 grams of methamphetamine with packaging within a black backpack on the rear passenger floorboard.
