Owner Joe Rosa confirmed the expansion in a message to the pizzeria’s owners, according to the seed report, adding another local name to a development that’s rapidly filling out with fast-casual chains, a credit union, and a two-story fitness anchor.
Developers broke ground on Hickory Flat Marketplace in 2026, and the center is expected to open in stages beginning this fall, according to WhatNow Atlanta. The project totals 100,000 square feet and sits on a 14-acre site, with developer D&G Development Group building six front retail buildings spanning 45,110 square feet alongside a separate rear anchor pad, according to real estate coverage from Mike Donovan. Little Rosa’s Pizza traces its roots to Rosa’s Pizza, founded in Holly Springs, Georgia, in 1984. Tony Rosa, Joe Rosa’s father, built the original pizzeria’s menu around his upbringing and his mother’s authentic Italian cooking, per the seed report. Joe Rosa eventually took over the business before stepping away in 2019, and the pizzeria now operates in a family-owned environment out of its Woodstock location.
The menu leans into that heritage with dishes like lasagna pizza, the Rosa’s Special, and the Rosa’s Herb & Spice, alongside heroes, salads, and pastas rounding out the New York-style offerings. Little Rosa’s expected arrival at Hickory Flat Marketplace was first flagged in local real estate posts before the pizzeria’s owner confirmed the move directly.

Little Rosa’s won’t be alone in the new development.
