FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — The Forsyth County Commission is considering how school capacity should factor into land use decisions amid an ongoing housing moratorium.
The discussion occurred during a presentation of code changes during a work session Sept. 22, about a year and a half since commissioners approved a pause on new rezoning applications. The housing moratorium is in response to rapid population growth and development and concerns voiced by residents and the school district about potential strain on services, particularly school capacity.
