Cat tests positive for rabies after attacking 2 people in Norcross

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A cat tested positive for rabies after attacking two people in Norcross, Gwinnett County officials said.

The cat attacked the pair Thursday near the the 4300 block of Jimmy Carter Boulevard.

The county tells residents to avoid animals that are acting oddly and to get their pets vaccinated for rabies. Unvaccinated dogs and cats exposed to a rabid animal have to be quarantined for four months, according to the National Association of State Health Veterinarians…
