A Ball Ground man has been sentenced to serve 60 years in prison after he was convicted of sexually abusing four children.
Superior Court Judge Jennifer Davis sentenced Charles Lowry Douglas, 58, of Ball Ground, on Sept. 9 to a total of 80 years, with the first 60 years to serve in confinement, the Cherokee County District Attorney’s Office announced. A Cherokee County jury found Douglas guilty on Aug. 24 of nine counts of child molestation and seven counts of sexual battery.
He is forbidden from contacting the victims and must comply with all sex offender special conditions…
