When law students at Georgia State University shuffled into their lecture hall one cold January day, they probably weren’t expecting much more than a typical course session with their teacher, law professor Mo Ivory. But Mo Ivory is no ordinary teacher herself, and the plan she had for that day’s class was anything but typical.

As soon as class was in session, the students were given mysterious envelopes, and Professor Ivory dropped a bombshell surprise on them: two students would be joining her on a trip to the Paris Summer Olympics. Her students excitedly began opening their envelopes, not knowing that Professor Ivory still had one more twist in store:

Believe it or not, Professor Ivory’s incredible gift to her students wasn’t just a random act of kindness – it actually tied into her course. According to Georgia State University News , the students were part of Professor Ivory’s ” Legal Life of the Olympic Games ” course, which explored the business and legal issues tied to the Olympic Games. With the Summer Olympics taking place halfway through the year, Professory Ivory saw a chance for her class to experience their topic of study in-person. Partnering with USA Track and Field and securing a sponsorship with Delta Airlines, Professory Ivory took the opportunity to treat her class to a once-in-a-lifetime surprise!
