A Marietta man is accused of animal cruelty for abusing a dog.
Josef N. Luague, 28, is accused of aggressively slamming a dog between the door and the metal frame of a cage on Jan. 17 at 7:25 a.m. at the Cobb County Animal Services Shelter, 1060 AL Bishop Drive in Marietta, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.
Luague is also accused of returning a dog to a cage and kicking it in the hindquarters as it entered on Jan. 17 at 7:27 a.m. at the shelter, according to a second arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.
Luague is charged with two counts of cruelty to animals – misdemeanor. He was arrested on Feb. 9 at midnight and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records.
Luague was released on a $1,000 bond for both warrants.
