A 13-year-old’s life was tragically cut short following a shooting on Buford Highway, Brookhaven police reported. Responding to a distressing call about a person shot at approximately 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Brookhaven officers rushed to the scene on the 3500 block of Buford Highway near Briarwood Road NE. They found a young teenager with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite their efforts to quickly administer life-saving procedures, the young victim was pronounced dead, due to sustain the injuries, according to a release from the Atlanta News First.
